Sangita Reddy | Founder and Managing Director
For more than 20 years, Sangita Reddy has worked to optimize costs and improve service delivery for both healthcare providers and health plans. She has been a pioneer in advocating the benefits of the global delivery model. She has earned the respect of international healthcare leaders and has influenced the development of the healthcare information technology industry. In addition to her leadership role at Apollo, Sangita is also the executive director of the Apollo Hospitals Group.
Karen Ferrell | President and Chief Executive Officer
A veteran healthcare executive, Karen Ferrell brings to her role as president and CEO successful management expertise, strong customer orientation, and a firm understanding of the challenges facing our industry. Prior to becoming CEO of Apollo Health Street, Karen served as senior vice president of provider contracting and medical management for CIGNA Healthcare where she was responsible for $32 billion in medical costs for more than 12 million members.
With more than 25 years experience in the healthcare industry, Karen also held leadership positions including executive director at Scripps Health, vice president of provider contracting at Prudential Healthcare, and president of Aetna Health Plans of Florida.
Karen earned an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Arnab Sen | Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
With nearly ten years at Apollo, Arnab Sen leads the company's financial team while also overseeing initiatives relating to the organization's growth strategy.
An entrepreneur at heart, Arnab previously co-founded Emedlife, a healthcare services company that provides third party administrative services which was acquired by Apollo. In 2004, he was profiled in Business Today as one of India's Top 25 Hottest Young Executives.
He also has worked for several years with McKinsey & Company where he formulated turnaround strategy, identified greenfield projects, led diversification opportunities, designed and implemented key account management program for improving the marketing effectiveness, and developed business unit strategy.
Arnab earned a master of business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a member of the CII - India Business Forum (IBF) in the US.
Maria Kyriakos | Executive Vice President of Human Resources
Maria Kyriakos leads the global human resource organization responsible for delivering proactive people solutions across our 13 locations. She is committed to creating productive and innovative work environments that leverage the organizations’ talent to achieve our customers’ expectations.
Maria has over 25 years in the healthcare and health services industry. She has held human resources leadership positions at several hospital systems and spent over 15 years with CIGNA Healthcare and CIGNA International in both national and global human resources leadership assignments. Most recently she was the HR leader for CIGNA’s Expatriate Benefits business, responsible for service delivery to employees located across the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She has led teams responsible for delivery and development of leadership development, talent management and acquisition, recognition and reward programs, employee engagement, organizational design, and new market entry.
Maria received a master's of public administration from Seattle University and a B.A. in international studies and business from the University of Washington.
John G. Murtha | Senior Vice President of Health Plan Solutions
John G. Murtha oversees all sales and operations for Apollo's Health Plan Solutions including strategic planning, profit and loss, sales, and client operations. A 20-year healthcare veteran, John is a key member of the company's leadership team, focused expanding Apollo's presence in the market.
He brings an extensive healthcare background, including his most recent tenure as director of finance and management for the Greater New York Hospital Association. He also served as executive director for healthcare distributor Thompson, Murphy, & Murtha LLC as well as leadership roles with Vancerta Incorporated, JEK LLC, and Deloitte Consulting.
John earned an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship as well as a MPH in effectiveness and outcomes research from Columbia University. He serves on the Board of Hunter College in New York, NY where he received a B.A.
Hariharan Velayudhan | Senior Vice President of Provider Solutions
Hari Velayudhan manages the company's Provider Solutions with responsibility for growth strategy, profit and loss, sales, and client management. He began his employment with Apollo nearly ten years ago conceptualizing, designing, and launching India's first Disease Management Program.
His experience spans more than a 15 years of sales and operations across consumer goods, e-commerce, and healthcare sectors. He is a member of the Health Management Academy (HMA) and has presented several papers on the globalization of healthcare.
Hari earned a master of business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a bachelor's degree in commerce from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.
Richard Lipack | Senior Vice President of Provider Operations
Richard Lipack is Apollo Health Street's senior vice president of operations for the company's Provider Solutions. He is co-developer of AccessLine, the company's proprietary online account management system.
Richard served as executive vice president of HHL Financial Services, a major healthcare billing and collections company with more than 1,700 employees. He also held the position of chief executive officer of Professional Data Services, a subsidiary of HHL Financial Services, which provided all data processing and development support for numerous hospital associations.
He earned a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in computer science from Pace University in New York.
Stephen Decker | Senior Vice President of Provider Operations
Stephen Decker oversees the seamless implementation of Apollo's custom, IT-based solutions, bringing together the company's clinical domain, smart technology, best practices, and global resources. He has proven expertise in developing business process designs and improvements resulting in maximum profit margins.
Stephen's diverse and extensive operations leadership experience includes client technical support and technology consulting services with MedDecision, customer-centric service delivery with CIGNA, and call center operations with Capital One Services and AT&T Universal Card Services.
An innovative and strategic business partner, Stephen develops client relationships through aggressive service delivery improvement tactics and increased communication and governance. He focuses on creating technology and business consulting solutions that assist clients with purchase decisions, business case development, and results assessment.
He received a bachelor of science in finance from Siena College Loudonville, New York.
Vijay Nakka | Senior Vice President of India Operations
Vijay Nakka manages operations for Apollo's multiple India locations. With over 30 years of healthcare experience, Vijay brings a comprehensive perspective having worked in both the vendor and client roles.
Previously, he held leadership positions with Deloitte Consulting and several healthcare organizations including Children's Hospital National Medical Center, Sacred Heart Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Bon Secours Health Systems.
Vijay studied management, accounting, and economics at Spicer Memorial College and The Catholic University of America. He is active with Reaching Hearts for Kids International Organization and has served as a motivational speaker and mentor for several youth organizations.
Decanda Faulk | Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer
Decanda Faulk, RN, Esq. serves as Apollo's legal counsel and compliance officer.
She brings a unique background combining healthcare and health law. A practicing attorney with a concentration in health law, she has worked for several of New Jersey's premier law firms. Decanda also started her own firm, Faulk & Associates, to focus on healthcare compliance. Before practicing law, she worked for over ten years as a critical care nurse and in quality assurance and utilization review.
Decanda received a bachelor of science in nursing from Rutgers University College of Nursing, Newark, New Jersey and her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law, Newark, New Jersey. Decanda is licensed to practice law in the states of New Jersey and New York, and holds an active professional license as a registered nurse.
